Tiling

Professional tile installation — kitchens, bathrooms, floors, backsplashes — South Florida

The right tile can transform a kitchen or bathroom as much as any cabinet. At Florico Design, our tiling team handles everything from kitchen backsplashes to full bathroom tile surrounds — with the same precision and care we bring to every other part of your project. When you combine our tiling service with a cabinet or vanity install, you get one team managing the whole space.

Tiling Services We Offer

  • Kitchen backsplash installation — subway, mosaic, herringbone, large format, and custom patterns
  • Bathroom wall tile — shower surrounds, tub decks, and full wall tile in porcelain, ceramic, and natural stone
  • Floor tile installation — porcelain, ceramic, marble, and wood-look plank tile
  • Shower pan and floor tile — properly sloped mud beds and waterproofing included
  • Tile removal and prep — we demo existing tile and prep the substrate before any new installation
  • Grout selection and sealing — we help you choose grout colors that complement your tile and seal everything for durability

Why Combine Tiling With Your Cabinet Project

Most homeowners use separate contractors for cabinets and tiling — which means two schedules, two sets of workers, and two points of contact. When you use Florico Design for both, we sequence the work correctly (tile before or after cabinets depending on the situation), avoid rework, and hold ourselves accountable for the entire finished result.

Tiling FAQs

Do you supply the tile or do I need to source it?

We can supply tile through our trade suppliers at competitive pricing, or work with tile you’ve already sourced. Either way, we’ll review your selection before installation to confirm it’s appropriate for the application.

How long does backsplash installation take?

Most kitchen backsplash projects are completed in one day. Larger or more complex patterns may take two days. Full bathroom tile surrounds typically take 2–4 days depending on scope.

Can you tile over existing tile?

In some cases yes, but we always assess the existing substrate first. Tiling over loose, damaged, or uneven existing tile is not recommended and we’ll advise you honestly on the best approach.
